39,700 people are employed in northeast B.C., which is an increase from February 2012, when 39,300 people were working.

The region still has the lowest unemployment rate in the province, with North Coast/Nechako taking the top spot with a rate of 7.4 per cent.
Across the province, the unemployment rate is unchanged at 6.3 per cent, while the national rate remained steady at 7 per cent.
