Residents also got to try their hand at snow sculpting in Centennial Park, while the Crystal Cup and Over the Line tournaments continued at Charlie Lake. The Ladies Bonspiel at the curling club and the Rogers Old Timers Hockey Tournament at the Pomeroy Sport Centre both wrapped up competition, along with the ice fishing derby at Inga Lake.
The day culminated in the fire and ice closing ceremony, with the crowd watching as the sponsor tower was set ablaze and melted.
The festival wraps up on Family Day tomorrow, with one last chance for horse drawn sleigh rides at Toboggan Hill, and the finals of the Crystal Cup, along with a family event at the North Peace Leisure Pool. The City is also holding a Family Day event at Centennial Park, at which they promise a big announcement will be made at 11 a.m.
