Armed robbery at Dawson Creek 7-Eleven

Witnesses say two masked men entered the store, saying it was a robbery, and attempted to get money from the counter. One man was reportedly flashing a sawed off shotgun, while the other had a handgun. When they were unsuccessful, they fled the store.

RCMP tracked them down to an apartment on 8th Street where two men known to police were arrested, one as he tried to escape the building, along with a young offender male. The sawed off shotgun, other gun parts and additional evidence were found in the apartment.

The young offender has been released without charges, and the other men, aged 19 and 22, are being held until their bail hearing today. Police are recommending charges of armed robbery using a firearm, disguising face with intent to commit an offence and pointing a firearm.
