Streeper’s second place finish came with an eight day, cumulative time of 24:43:40, while first place went to Aaron Peck, who completed the race with a time of 24:35:25.

The Fort Nelson musher actually finished the fastest in the eighth and final day, but a 15 minutes differential between himself and Peck on the seventh day of racing was enough to prevent Streeper from finishing in first.

Streeper had entered the race having won the last three in-a-row, while also winning the event for the first time in 2004.
