Wind chill warning issued for B.C. Peace Region

Wind chill warning for 

B.C. North and South Peace River issued

Windchill values near minus 40 expected through Tuesday morning.

This is a warning that extreme wind chill conditions are expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.

Strong northerly winds have brought a bitterly cold Arctic airmass into the British Columbia Peace River region. These winds combined with temperatures falling to near minus 30 will result in extreme wind chill values of near minus 40 over the region beginning tonight and lasting through Tuesday morning. Winds will begin to ease and temperatures will begin to moderate by Tuesday afternoon.
