Telus internet out for some Peace Region residents

A Telus spokesman says a logging company working in the bush across the Alberta border cut a fibre cable serving the area. It also says technicians, on site since last evening, have been working to repair the cable and restore service as soon as possible.
However, there have remedial work challenges because the repair site is deep in the bush, in an area that today is also subject to severe winter weather conditions, including heavy snow. Up to ten centimeters of snow is forecast for the Alberta Peace today and another two to four tonight.
That being the case, Telus is unable to say at this time, when full service will be restored.
