Streeper looking for four-peat at international sled dog race

Streeper’s first place ranking results from a time of 4 hours, 9 minutes and 20 seconds.

Racers are currently mushing 56 miles through Alpine Wyoming, while this year, competitors will also cross into Idaho and Utah, making this year’s race the first time participants will ride through the Rocky Mountain States.

Streeper enters the competition as the man to beat, as the Fort Nelson sled dog racer has won this event four times, taking first the past three years in a row. His first event victory was earned back in 2004.

Following their trek through Alpine, racers will next race 47 miles through Pinedale, Wyoming as the fourth stage of the event.
