Fort Nelson smashes temperature record

When you consider that the high for January 15 in 2012 was almost 30 degrees lower, at -21.7, it's particularly anomalous.

Temperatures have returned to normal today, with a high of -9 forecasted for Fort Nelson this afternoon.

Cities across northern B.C. and Alberta experienced much higher than average temperatures yesterday, and at one point in the morning were warmer than famous U.S. hot spots like Pheonix, Arizona, Las Vegas, Nevada and Houston, Texas.
