The final EIS guidelines were released back in September 2012 and several public meetings were held around the Peace Region for feedback. They include the potential effects of the project, as well as proposed ways they will work to avoid those effects.
Now that these documents have been filed, the project will now go under an independent review by both a government advisory working group and an independent joint review panel. There will be additional opportunities for public input, starting with a 60 day public comment period on the EIS, starting February 3, 2013.
