They followed the vehicle, and after it ended up in a ditch, they kept police updated on the suspects’ location as they continued on foot. Due to the very cold weather, Alic returned to the vehicle while Keyler later got into a pickup with a male and attempted to steal it at knifepoint. The driver then sent that vehicle into the ditch, and Keyler again fled on foot.

By the time RCMP arrived Keyler was spotted by a resident in a field and he was arrested without incident. As he had been outside for an hour and a half in light clothing, he was met by an ambulance at Mile 54 and was transported to the Fort St. John hospital to be treated for hypothermia.
Alic was also arrested at the scene on an outstanding warrant for Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of Forged Documents. RCMP is recommending charges of Robbery and Possession of Stolen Property against Keyler. Both are currently in custody pending further investigation.
