1,000 twin bears left in local LDB Charity Program

The Fort St. John store has posted top provincial sales honors for nine consecutive years, but each year the sellout challenge seems to grow. The staff managed to move more than 800 bears in the final five days of the campaign last year, but with a deadline of 6 p.m. Monday, it has about one thousand to sell in the same time period this year in order to achieve another sellout.

This is the campaign that sees the LDB distribute a bear to charity for each one purchased by a customer. However, since many of those purchased are subsequently donated back, they are added to the distribution total.

Last year those donations amounted to about 800, and given it was another sellout year, the branch ended up with a distribution total of about 3,200.
