The province-wide sessions will start once the Ministry of Finance releases the Budget 2013 Consultation Paper.
Committee Chair Douglas Home, says these sessions will provide the government with valuable insight from residents of the province.
“The consultation process provides an important opportunity for British Columbians to provide input on next year’s provincial budget.”
Committee Member Mable Elmore adds, “we invite any interested individuals and organizations to participate.”
This year, the consultation process will include 19 public hearings in various B.C. communities, as well as video conference sessions for an addition three locations, including Dawson Creek, Fort Nelson.
The public is encouraged to provide input on the issue by attending the public hearings, sending a written submission, responding to an online survey or submitting a video file.
The deadline for public input is Thursday, October 18 and the Committee will release its report by Thursday, November 15.
