The 900 hectare fire off Milligan Road has experienced some rain and currently poses no concern. The Lennard Creek fire along the Alberta border further north from Fort St. John has been reduced to 5,500 hectares on the B.C. side. The Eskal fire, southeast of Fort Nelson, has grown to 3,750 hectares, and a closure around the area to the public remains in place.
The Fire Danger Rating is low to high throughout the Prince George Fire Centre, with the areas of highest danger in the Peace Region. Make sure to have hand tools and water nearby to properly extinguish any campfire.
