The display runs along 8.6 kilometres of walking trail, and includes all the planets, an asteroid belt, and the Sun. It starts with the Sun sign near the West Bypass Road, and ends with Pluto and Kuiper Belt objects on the East Bypass at 85 Avenue.

Each sign, spaced to scale with the actual solar system, features statistics about the celestial object, as well as interesting facts compiled by School District 60 classes. Each sign also includes a QR code which can be scanned by a smartphone, and take the viewer to a webpage with further information. The logo of each sponsor is also shown on each sign.
