The A-Star 350 helicopter belonging to Bailey Helicopters of Fort St. John went down while on a training flight, killing 44-year-old Peter Bryant of Terrace, 48-year-old Blake Erickson of Sicamous and 44-year-old Arnaud Jolibois of Banff, Alberta.
TSB Inspector Glen Friesen says parts of the crashed chopper were sent for further examination because the safety board doesn’t have the facilities and the equipment to do it here.
Meanwhile, Bailey Helicopters says it is delaying plans to set up shop in Terrace, although a company spokesman says a helicopter base in that northwestern B.C. city has not been ruled out.
