The co-ed event will feature four mandatory events that test the strength of the competitors, which include a tire flip, toss over, heavy carry and heavy prowler push.

If that wasn’t enough stress on the body, the heavyweights of the competition will also have the option to compete in a fifth event, where they will have the opportunity to attempt to pull a 26,500 pound semi-trailer, donated by Cascade Trucking.

Mike Friesen, owner of MC Rehab, says the event is all about raising awareness and supporting a good cause.

“The whole idea behind the event is to raise money for the CDC, while also letting people who we train here compete. We also want to showcase what we do here at MC Rehab, while also enjoying the nice weekend weather.”

The event will begin with a barbeque, starting at 11:30 a.m. with all proceeds from the tasty grilled lunch being donated to the CDC.

The strong man competition will commence at 1 p.m. and will run to approximately 3:30.

Red Bull Crashed Ice Champion and Fort St. John firefighter Adam Horst, will also be in attendance, competing in the event as well as signing autographs for the fans.

Anyone who purchases lunch will also be entered into a draw and will have a chance to win an Adam Horst autographed Red Bull Crashed Ice jersey.

The event is free of charge to spectators and anyone interested is encouraged to attend the fun filled event.
