The evening also featured an abbreviated “Quail Route”, where Nicki Haugan placed first in the shortened, two lap race with a time of 28:38.

Gord Harris was the second place finisher on the Quail Route, crossing the finish line at 28:53, with Ty Haugan finishing a single lap in 16 minutes.

The Blizzard Bike Club will be in various provinces this weekend. Not only will the Club be holding its Club Championship road race Sunday, June 24, beginning at 10 a.m. from the Wood Corner on the Montney highway, but a team representing Ferris Fast Cycles will be in Whitehorse to compete in the 24 Hours of Light race.

Wearing the Ferris Fast Cycles spandex shirts will be riders Stephen Ferris, Jay Morrison, brother Denny Morrison and Gary Hilderman, who will compete in the relay format race.
