As always, the Junior division kick-started the night, with Junior Player of the Game honours being awarded to Jacob Ziebart, Justin Paradis, Keryana Donald, Kaleb Calverly, Justin Bovee and Catherine Ross.

Next to hit the hardwood were the Senior Girls, with game one resulting in D. Bauer defeating Northern Valve 51-18. Jade Mah was the D. Bauer Player of the Game displaying an extremely well rounded game. That same honour went to Northern Valve’s Sarah Kim, for an amazing display of improvement since the beginning of the season.

The second Senior Girls game had Focus narrowly defeat Lube-X 33-29. Chelsea Fisher’s excellent rebounding and ability to take control of the offence earned her Player of the Game honours, while Stacey Hansen of Lube-X earned that same title for controlling the end of the game within the paint.

Next on the schedule was the second last round of Senior Boys games, which began with D. Bauer beating Sunlife 46-38. D. Bauer’s Player of the Game was Lucas Reimer, putting on a defensive clinic and displaying quick hands resulting in lots of steals. Sunlife nominated Steven Smith as their Player of the Game, for his tough play and strong rebounding.

The final game of semi-final action saw Lube-X beat Northern Valve 55-38. Lube-X gave the Player of the Game honour to George Seguin-Morin, for a strong effort, lots of hustle and tough rebounding. Chris Seguin was the Player of the Game for Northern Valve, for displaying strong offensive positioning, while also paying close attention to defensive details.

The Spring Basketball League will hold its final set of Games Wednesday, June 13.
