McDonald’s first place finish came at a time of 39:10, which adds another 5 points to her lead in the Trophy Series with a total of 20 points.

Norma Webster was the second female finisher, crossing the finish line at a time of 41:38, earning her a total of 14 points in the current series.

It was also an impressive outing for first time participant Terra Strachan, who completed her first event with a time of 41:46.

Moving into the male division, Gord Harris finished first at 39:31, earning him a total point total of 15, moving him past Irvin Tang for the lead in points. Tang, who was absent from the race, now sits second in the series with 13 points.

Dan Webster was the third male to complete the course, finishing the event with a time of 43:44.

The next Duathlon will be held Tuesday, May 29 beginning at 7 p.m, starting from the Baldonnel School.
