B.C. Hydro recently applied to for a $225 million dollar upgrade in the South Peace that would supply Dawson Creek and industry in the region.
The Province is weighing the costs of providing Hydro to the industry or getting natural gas producers to generate their own electricity by burning fuel.
Producers like Shell and EnCana argue they are should have access to the same services as any other industry in B.C.
