The fire near the Beatton River bridge is current the largest of the two fires, approximately 20 hectares in size. The second fire is 12 hectares in size.
Currently the Ministry of Forests has two water bombers working the larger fire trying to box in the fire and prevent it from taking power lines and a well head in the area.
The second and smaller fire is under control at this time. At this time the cause of both fires is unknown.
The Cecil Lake road is still open.
