This holiday season, all of our Supporters are entered to win an $800 Shopping Spree Giveaway!

Making that goal was especially important this year, and the charity did not receive a $27,000 gaming grant from the government this year.

“This year’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake campaign was more vital to our organization than possibly ever before,” says Danielle Armstrong, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fort St John & Area. “as this year we did not receive any provincial gaming revenue and we were greatly concerned about the impact this would have on our ability to continue to meet the growing demand for services we continue to receive.”

This money will now finance over 30 per cent of the agency’s youth mentoring services in 2012. Children, or “Littles” are matched with “Bigs”, to form a mentoring relationship that the organization says gives them higher self-esteem and a higher likelihood of staying in school.

Thanks go out to all of the sponsors, bowlers, volunteers and spectators.
