This holiday season, all of our Supporters are entered to win an $800 Shopping Spree Giveaway!

Moving to Whitecourt will be the St. Albert Steel, relocating due to financial concerns after discovering Whitecourt as a willing host to accept the AJHL team.

Back in Fort St. John, the elimination of the Wolverines from the NWJHL is helpful for Fort St. John, as the Wolverines have always been a top team in the League, and were the reigning 2012 champions after defeating Peace River in the finals.

Following an NWJHL title, the Wolverines went on to win the provincial championship and then earned themselves a bronze medal at the Keystone Cup Western Canadian Junior B Championships with a 7-4 win over the host team, the Saskatoon Royals.

The move is very beneficial to the Huskies, as over the 2011-2012 season, Whitecourt and Fort St. John played each other six times, with the Huskies never able to hand the Wolverines a defeat, while being outscored 37-16.
