This holiday season, all of our Supporters are entered to win an $800 Shopping Spree Giveaway!

The discussion will revolve around how resource-dependent communities like those in the Peace Region can become more prosperous by taking a “comprehensive and integrated approach” to community and economic development. Panelists will discuss sustainable land use and real estate development, housing, community infrastructure, community services, and finance.

The speakers will include Jack Wong, Chief Executive Officer of Real Estate Foundation of B.C., Craig Crawford, Vice-President of Operations at B.C. Housing, Bill Nicholls, Chief Executive Officer of Northern Savings Credit Union, and Greg Halseth, Director of the Community Development Institute at UNBC. In addition, a respondent panel of local speakers will be there, including Mayor Lori Ackerman, Brent Hodson, President of the Fort St. John & District Chamber of Commerce, and Diane McLeod from the North East Native Advancing Centre.

The event will take place Monday, April 23 at the Pomeroy Sport Centre at 7:00 p.m. and is free of charge for the public.
