The two hit the ice for tryouts in Vanderhoof, B.C., impressing coaches enough to earn a role in this year’s tournament and will represent the North Region in the tournament.
The four day event will include four games, two on-ice practice sessions with some top notch instructors, off-ice player and team development sessions, as well as a Hockey Futures Presentation.
The tournament will be held in Kelowna, B.C. from April 12-15 and will be played at the Royal LePage Place.
Some notable National Hockey League players have participated in the Male U16 B.C. Cup including Chicago Blackhawks’ Brent Seabrook, Anaheim Ducks’ Brandon McMillian and Rookie Brett Connolly of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The program was designed by B.C. Hockey to instruct and prepare high performance payers for future opportunities in the B.C. Hockey High Performance Program.
