The Soccer Club will provide all the necessary training and referees will receive payment for each game that is called.
Anyone interested can apply to be a referee; the only requirement is that applicants were born in the year 2000 or earlier. Those interested must first take a referee course.
Registration is also now open for the upcoming summer league, and those interested can register online, or can drop a registration form off in the drop box at the Fort St. John Soccer Club, located in the basement of the old Medical Clinic. The league is no longer using the drop box at the Rec Centre.
The league is also on the look out for anyone interested in coaching. If interested in coaching on of the house league teams, contact Brad at email@example.com or if interested in coaching one of the development/competitive teams, contact Darren at Northernstrikers@fsjsoccer.com.
Filling these coaching positions is crucial to the league, as without coaches, teams will not be able to be formed.
The league will also be holding in person registrations this Friday, March 9, from 4-8 p.m. inside the Totem Mall. Registration can also be submitted at the Community One-Stop, taking place March 24 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Any questions regarding refereeing can be submitted to the league’s head ref Sean, at firstname.lastname@example.org and for more information on the soccer league, visit the league’s official website.
