In the gymnastics event, Assistant Coach Leanne Couch, along with athletes Heather Smith and Jaston Stockall will be representing the Caribou-North East.

The gymnastics portion of the Games will begin Friday, Feb.24.

Taking to the ice, Fort St. John athletes Jordan Kosinsky and Cassidy Bell will be looking to bring home a gold medal, as the two defencemen represent the Energetic City in the Female Hockey event.

The Caribou-North East team will first take to the ice Friday, Feb.24, when they open the Women’s Hockey portion of the games against Vancouver Island-Central Coast.

Trinity Nicholl won’t be competing per se, but will be guiding her athletes through the Karate event, as she will be attending the games as an assistant coach, which begin Saturday, Feb.25.

Finally, speed skating will include three Caribou-North East representatives. Both Connor Johnson and Ben Maxfield will be racing in the speed skating events, while Nancy Maxfield will be officiating.

Competitors will meet for safety meetings Thursday, Feb.23, with races beginning the following day.
