The event at the Legion includes dinner and a dance, along with Scottish entertainment, and of course, a serving of haggis, a traditional Scottish dish made up of a sheep’s heart, liver and lungs, along with onion, oatmeal, spices and salt all cooked in its stomach.
The Legion has been celebrating Burns and his work along with co-hosts the Masons and Knights of Columbus for for 45 years this year.
Tickets for the celebration are available at Patch Java and the Legion, and cost $50. For more information and tickets, call Dan Davies at 250-787-5847.
