Huskies lose third straight to JDA Kings

It was a tough first period for the Huskies. Despite goals from Jamie Watson and Jaxon Glass, the team allowed four goals against, concluding the opening frame trailing 4-2.

The second was no better for the pups, who were unable to find the back of the net at all during the second. The same cannot be said for Grande Prairie, who scored two more goals, extending their lead to 6-2 entering the final frame.

The third period saw offence from both teams, but unfortunately, rookie defensemen Dave Marshell’s two goal period wasn’t enough to even up the score for the Huskies. The JDA Kings added another goal in the third, producing a final score of 7-4.

Tuesday was a busy night in net for both goaltenders. Travis McLean got the start in net for the Huskies and faced 50 shots making 43 saves, while JDA Kings tender Nolan Bowker made 39 saves after facing 43 shots.
