The helicopter is owned by a Grande Prairie company and was working in the area when the main rotor clipped a tree.

A medic attended the scene and determined that the pilot and lone passenger were not seriously injured.

The pilot and passenger were flown to the Manning hospital and have been released.  The Transportation Safety Board has been notified and are currently investigating the crash.
