Pet photos raise money for animal population control, Christmas food hampers

In exchange for a cash donation to either the Dawson Creek Veterinary Clinic/SPCA Spay and Neuter Program or the Tumbler Ridge Christmas Food Hamper Program, pet owners received a professional photograph of their beloved pet with Santa by Kathy Therrien with Reflections Portrait Studio. The event raised $707 for the animal population control program in Dawson Creek, and $87 to make Christmas a little brighter for families in need in Tumbler Ridge.

“We’re really happy for the support from the community,” said Rebecca Moeller, vice president of public relations for the clinic.

She added the event continues to grow every year and this year was the biggest turnout yet.
