Drivers shaken but not injured following collision of semi and pickup on Highway 97

At just after 4 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle collision on the highway near the 237 Road. The Alberta-registered pick up truck had been traveling west on the highway when it slid on icy roads and side-swiped the semi truck that was travelling in the opposite direction. The semi truck suffered only minor damage and was taken to Dawson Creek for repairs, but the pickup truck sustained heavy damage and had to be towed away.

Both drivers did not require medical attention following the collision.
