This holiday season, all of our Supporters are entered to win an $800 Shopping Spree Giveaway!

Police report that at around 10 a.m. between Ridge Valley and Debolt, a semi truck had been travelling southbound on Range Road 262A crossing Highway 43 when it collided with a westbound semi. The two semis in the initial collision were then hit by a third and then a fourth semi, followed by a Ford F150 pickup truck, all of which were travelling westbound on the highway.

Two adults and one infant travelling in the pickup truck were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. One adult male and one male youth who were travelling in the semi truck that initially collided with the semi crossing the highway were also treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Severe ice fog in the area was reportedly a contributing factor in the incident.

The collision also caused two of the semis to leak crude oil and diesel respectively, which required clean up. The clean up, and the towing of vehicles, caused traffic to be rerouted through the hamlet of Ridge Valley until the highway was reopened later that evening.
