With the loss, the Flyers now sit with a 0-3-1-0 record.
Luckily, the Fort St. John Senior men’s team won’t have to dwell on the loss for too long, as they will hit the ice this Saturday, Dec.10, when they welcome long time-rivals, the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks, to the North Peace Arena.
The Canucks will enter Saturday’s game with a record of 4-2-0-1.
Saturday’s game is also the annual Flyers Teddy Bear Toss, where fans will have the opportunity to purchase a stuffed bear, which fans can throw onto the ice upon the Flyers’ first goal scored.
If purchasing a bear, please make sure to wrap it in a plastic bag before chucking it onto the ice. This will prevent damage to the stuffed animal, as well as to the ice surface.
All the funds raised through the event will be donated to the Salvation Army for their Christmas Campaign.
