Only a few hours later, North Peace lost to Penticton 2-1 in sets (25-21, 22-25, 15,11). That same day, the boys got their first win, defeating Elgin Park 2-0 in sets (25-22, 25-23).
The following day, the North Peace boys found themselves facing the Semiahmoo, defeating them by a score of 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-16).
Friday, Dec. 2, the boys competed in another round robin match against Oak Bay, who would go on to sweep the North Peace boys 3-0 in sets (25-10, 25-13, 25-22).
Saturday, the boys took part in their final round robin match, suffering another defeat, this time at the hands of the Mount Boucherie, who won 2-0 in sets (25-22, 25-18).
After five round robin games, the boys were slated to play Semiahmoo in their first elimination game. The boys shut out Semiahmoo by a score of 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-16), to progress to the next round of the playoffs.
In their second elimination match, North Peace took on Oak Bay, a team that lost to in the round robin matchups. Unfortunately, the elimination match produced the same results as the first time the teams met, with Oak Bay ending North Peace’s hopes of becoming provincial champions. The boys lost 3-0 in sets (25-10, 25-13, 25-18).
Oak Bay would eventually go on to win the provincial title, while the North Peace boys finished 8 place provincially.
