The children were treated on scene for minor bumps and bruises with no one taken to hospital, following a collision on Highway 43 around 4:20 p.m. Beaverlodge RCMP report that a school bus with five passengers ranging in age from 10 to 14, and the 45-year-old driver from Beaverlodge, was traveling east on Highway 43 and signalling left to turn north onto Secondary Highway 724. As the male bus driver approached the intersection, he saw the semi truck, driven by a 39-year-old Grande Prairie man, allegedly pull out across the west lanes into the median and collided with the bus on the drivers side.
Only minor damage incurred to both vehicles.
Police continue their investigation and no charges have yet been laid.
