Despite a couple of close games, The Rage were only able to capture two out of a possible eight points in four games against the Minot Minotauros and Bismarck Bobcats during a road trip that started on Oct. 21 and wrapped up this past weekend. The team now has a record of four wins, nine losses and one overtime loss for a total of nine points, which puts them in last place in the North American Hockey League’s West Division.
The Rage will be in tough against the Brown Bears, who sit first in the West Division and have not lost a game on the road this season. However, the team is no scoring juggernaut, as it has no players who have cracked the top 20 in scoring in the league, but rather has a balanced attack.
The Rage will play two more home games next weekend against the Alaska Avalanche before heading back out on the road starting Nov. 18 for a marathon, 12-game trip where they will take on the Brown Bears, Avalanche, Fairbanks Ice Dogs, Wenatchee Wild and Fresno Monsters, and won’t play another home game until Dec. 16.
The games this weekend both start at 7 p.m. at the EnCana Events Centre. Tickets for the games can be purchased through the Tiger Box Office Plus at the EnCana Events Centre or Co-op High Performance Ticket Outlet at the Co-op Mall, or by going online to www.dawsoncreekeventscentre.com.
