The Ministry says the goal of the project was to improve a part of the community where the workers live and work, and create something that will benefit both residents and visitors. Montney Hall is used for community events, and it's hoped the improvements will create a better experience for its visitors.
Their efforts have already been recognized by Peace River North MLA Pat Pimm.
"This project is a great example of our local Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure employees and the staff at YRB showing their community leadership by going the extra mile and doing this great project for the people of Montney," he remarked, adding, "Even with such a busy season, it’s great to see these volunteers find the time and resources to do a little project like this that means so much to everybody involved."
