Impending diesel fuel shortage

Petro-Canada and Husky stations are both affected by this shortage. In Fort St. John, both the Husky cardlock and the bulk plant are at critical levels.

The Petro-Pass on 72 St. in Fort St. John and on Highway 97 in Dawson Creek are both on reduced hours, and will only be open from 6 – 10 a.m. and 4 – 8 p.m. The Petro-Pass on 97th Ave. in Grande Prarie is currently out of diesel fuel, along with many other locations in Alberta.

In addition, on Thursday night the UFA in Fort St. John was out of diesel, but has just been refilled. Co-op Gas in Fort St. John is currently at low levels.

Drivers are recommended to call ahead to avoid inconveniences. There is no word yet on when the disruption at the Edmonton Refinery will be resolved.
