Enbridge increases stake in Cabin Gas Plant

The Cabin Gas Plant development is located in the Horn River Basin, about 60 kilometers northeast of Fort Nelson. Its two phases are expected to process 800 million cubic feet of natural gas per day when it goes into service.

At its completion, it is expected Enbridge's investment will be worth $1.1 billion.

Al Monaco, President of Gas Pipelines, Green Energy & International for Enbridge Inc. says, "We are pleased to have entered into this arrangement and to increase our overall investment in the Cabin Gas Plant Development. We look forward to working with producers in this region as they develop the potential of the Horn River basin and other shale gas opportunities."

The plant is expected to be in service in the third quarter of next year.
