The Huskies will take to the ice against the league’s last place team for the second time in six days. On Saturday, Nov.26, the Huskies were in Beaverlodge, leaving the city with an 11-3 win under their collars.
The folllowing day, the pups will travel to Grande Prairie, to play the third placed JDA Kings, a team the Huskies have played twice this year, and have yet to defeat.
On Sunday, the boys will return home to take part in their yearly Fill the Bus Campaign. The team will be set up outside the North Peace Arena, taking donations in the form of food, cash, toys, or anything else worthy of donation. All donations will be made to the Salvation Army.
This year, the Huskies’ goal is to reach 21,000 pounds of food. Last year, the team raised 20,700 pounds.
The bus will be set up from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
