Environment Canada says the Peace will see temperatures drop to around minus 11 and then rise later in the day to minus 3. With the temperature changes, the region could see both rain and snow in the afternoon.
On top of this, the wind could gust up to 70 km/h with sustained winds at 40 km/h.
A small section of Highway 97 west of Chetwynd is under a travel advisory because of freezing rain.
