This holiday season, all of our Supporters are entered to win an $800 Shopping Spree Giveaway!

Friday, Nov. 25, the sled dogs will play neighbouring rivals, the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks. After 16 games played this season, the Junior Canucks currently post a record of 2-12-0-2, while occupying the sixth place spot in the league standings.

Friday’s meeting at the Dawson Creek Memorial Arena will be the third time the two teams will meet already this season, with Fort St. John winning both previous meetings. In those two games, the Huskies outscored the Junior Canucks 15-7.

The Huskies won’t get much rest following Friday’s game, as they will board another bus and head even further southeast to Beaverlodge, in a meeting with the league’s worst team, the 2-13-0-1 Blades.

This will be the first time these two teams will meet on the ice this season. The clubs were scheduled to play back on Nov.18, but Beaverlodge forfeited that game.

Moving up in the standings will be a challenge for the fourth place 6-8-0-0 Huskies, who currently sit 12 points behind the third place Grande Prairie JDA kings. However, back-to-back wins this weekend is a great place to start their journey to the top.
