The game didn’t go Dawson Creek’s way as early on Whitecourt was able to dominate with a power play goal 8 minutes into the first. After the first period, the Wolverines lead 3-0. In the second it was all Wolverines as they picked up another four goals.
The third period wasn’t much different as the Wolverines got two more goals and the Canucks finally got on the board at the 9 minute mark with a goal from Stuart Weaver. That would be all for the Canucks as the Wolverines went on to win 9-1.
Dawson Creek will now host Fort St. John next Friday at the Memorial Arena.
