Both games will be played at the North Peace Arena.
The 9-4-0-1 Wolverines enter their trip to Fort St. John occupying third place in the NWJHL standings with 19 points in their 14 games played.
After losing to the Navigators last weekend, the Huskies sit with a record of 4-5-0-0, with 8 points earned in the team’s 9 games played, the fewest amount of games played in the league so far. They stand alone in fifth place in the league standings.
With back-to-back games this weekend, the Huskies do have a chance to improve in the standings. They only sit a single point behind the Sexsmith Vipers, who play the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks this weekend. The Junior Canucks are the league’s worst team, but Fort St. John will be looking for a little help from its long time rival in earning their second win of the season against the Vipers.
If Fort St. John can earn a win in either game, and Sexsmith loses to Dawson Creek, the Huskies could leapfrog the Vipers for fourth in the standings.
Come down to the North Peace Arena for some weekend hockey fun and help the Huskies secure that fourth place position.
