A local resident was transported to the Dawson Creek Hospital at the time with what appeared to be non life threatening injuries.

Sunday morning, the Chetwynd RCMP were told that this person had succumbed to the injuries.  The family have asked that the name of the deceased not be released.

Police are now asking for the drivers of two other vehicles that may have witnessed the collision to come forward with information.  The RCMP believe these vehicles were following behind the vehicles involved in the collision.  One vehicle is described as a red boxy looking SUV, possibly a Dodge Nitro, with a wide square chrome looking grill on the front that was traveling east bound.  The second vehicle is described as a white Kenworth logging truck that was traveling west bound when the incident occurred.

If you can help identify these witness or witnessed this collision, please contact the Chetwynd RCMP at 250-788-9221.
