Its 15 northern member communities, including Fort St. John and Fort Nelson, recorded 3,443 property sales, worth about $740 million.That compares to 3,441, worth $697 million, during the same period in 2010.
Here in Fort St. John 572 properties worth just over $161 million were reportedly sold. That compares with 523, worth just over $140 million, in the first three quarters of last year.
Last month, Fort St. John still had the highest average price for a residential detached house among the 15 member communities. However, at $319, 691, that was down nearly $2,000 from September of 2010.
Fort Nelson was next at just under $315,000, but in all the other communities, the price was under $250,000, with Mackenzie recording the low end price at less than $105,000.
