The proposed OCP includes much of the current plan, as well as six new sections: Involving the Community, Guiding Principles, Building Community, Economic Development, Community Food Security and Recreation. Residents can check out the proposed OCP and related documents at City Hall between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until the 24th or visit www.fortstjohn.ca.
Comments from utility companies as well as letters of opposition will also be presented to council.
In order to present to council, residents are asked to sign up on a sheet at the meeting, and limit their comments to the proposed amendment. Councillors may ask questions after each presentation.
Council will vote on the proposed OCP later in its council meeting.
