Energetic Learning Campus now open

School District 60 Superintendent Larry Espe says students will take advantage of hands on learning and will be shown practical uses for the skills they learn in a typical classroom.Study will be predominantly project-based, and over time will enhance the Peace River North School District's dual credit and work experience programs.

Education Minister George Abbot was in attendance for the grand opening and he believes this will be a model that other school districts in the province will follow.

Students had been working out of other areas in the Pomeroy Sport Centre after construction delayed the official opening by over a month.

The total cost of converting space within the Centre for the Energetic Learning Campus was $6 million.
