UPDATE: Teachers serve strike notice

British Columbia teachers have served a 72 hour strike notice, but will still teach come Tuesday.

The strike notice issued is not for a full strike, but instead means that teachers will not be doing any administrative duties.

They will be at school on Tuesday, September 6th, and will continue to teach until further notice.

Union President Susan Lambert says that the notice was put forth in order to put more pressure on the government.

Education Minister George Abbott says that the government is concerned, and that they’ll be watching the situation closely.
